Mina Zhao is a self-named brand, owned and run solely by myself.

After spending 4 years in fashion school and learning about the current problems within the fashion industry, I decided to create online content as a means to encourage people to make their own clothes. While it is true there has been a spotlight on sustainability within the fashion industry, fast fashion is still a rapidly growing business.

By selling digital patterns I want to make it easier for people to access the necessary tools needed to start sewing. I’m hoping you will be able to gain some insight into the production side of fashion and therefore your relationship with the value of clothing with change too.

All the physical products in my shop are currently hand-made in London in my studio. Everything is minimally batch produced which means there will be periods where certain pieces are out of stock. However, it serves as a way to reduce waste and promote slow fashion :).
